Child/Teen Counseling

CHILD & TEEN COUNSELING

CHILD COUNSELING

A critical component of child counseling is the involvement of the parent. There will be little to no improvement seen if the child’s therapy sessions do not translate to his/her home life. Therefore, depending on the age and the issues your child is facing, you can expect to be included in your child’s therapy process.

TEEN COUNSELING

A critical component of teen counseling is trust and gaining a sense of being heard. While parents are still involved in the process, it is imperative that effective ways of communication between the parents and the therapist are established prior to the session continuing. Often times, teens are reluctant to come into counseling and unable to see the benefits of it. Our goal is to provide them with a sense of trust and space where they feel empowered to speak freely, and not only see the benefits but gain healthy coping strategies.

OUR GOAL

To make therapy feel fun so that your child/teen is looking forward to attending therapy and gets the help he/she needs. The treatment approach we use for each child/teen is highly individualized depending on his/her needs and difficulties.

A treatment used may include:

Psychotherapy is never about a “quick fix”. It is a process that over time can provide relief, reduce symptoms, and most importantly improve your child/teen’s functioning in life.

We are here to support you and your child/teen through difficult times so your family enjoys the quality of life they deserve.

ADULT, COUPLES & FAMILY COUNSELING

ADULT COUNSELING

Our practice provides adult counseling, offering a supportive space to explore personal experiences, emotional challenges, and coping strategies. Sessions aim to help clients gain deeper self-awareness, process their thoughts and feelings, and develop tools to navigate life’s difficulties with greater confidence and resilience.

FAMILY THERAPY

We provide systemic family therapy to help families navigate conflict, stress, and change related to parenting, adolescence, grief, or generational wounds. Instead of viewing one person as the “problem,” we see the family as a connected system where each member matters. Together, we identify stuck patterns and create new paths for communication, connection, and growth. Family therapy is effective for families raising children or adult families seeking healing—it’s never too late to grow together.

RELATIONSHIP THERAPY

We offer systemic relationship therapy for clients with one or more partners. Our approach looks beyond traditional couples therapy to explore how each partner’s experiences, values, and life systems—such as culture, family, work, and community—shape their connection. Rather than placing blame, we uncover deeper patterns that influence communication, conflict, and intimacy. Whether you’re dating, married, co-parenting, or in a non-traditional relationship, we help you understand each other more fully and build safer, more intentional ways of being together.
